1990 was the year that spelled the end of the 8 bit gaming era, and the beginning of the 16 bit gaming era. The ZIF had its fair share of problems, because it was very difficult to clean the grit that connected on the connectors. On the other hand, the NES resembled a VHS player, and the cartridges went in very much the same way. The Famicom had a more traditional game console appearance of having cartridges going in vertically in the middle of the console. The Famicom and the NES are basically the same video game console, but on the outside they look very different. In North America, the NES was released as the Nintendo Entertainment System in October 18th 1985, but in Japan it was known as the Famicom which was released 2 years earlier. The quality of the NES far exceeded the quality of those systems which came before it. If you compared the Nintendo Entertainment System to a Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Colecovision, other video game consoles, and computer that preceded it you can see the difference in quality. Nintendo had a very strict licensing policy which limited the number of games a game developer can make in a year, so this was the reason the quality of each game was exceptional. If you are a Generation Xer or a older Millennial you would know the significance of this video game console. Some of the games released in the 1980s, like Super Mario, Castlevania, Zelda, and Metal Gear are franchises that exist to this day. The NES was well known for kick starting the video game industry after the Video Game Crash of 1983. The Nintendo Entertainment System is what made Nintendo a very renown company in the video game world. Once we have these files we will only have to run the emulator, and in the toolbar look for an option that puts open file or open ROM.The NES was a great 8 bit video game console in the early 1980s, and many great games were made for it. In this case, the NES is a compatible format and executable by the emulator. To do this we will have to get what is known as ROMs (is the format of the games for Emulators) that really come to be the original games of each console. However to play both on a console, as in an emulator we also need games. To make a comparison, it’s like when you buy a console, you simply have the device in question.
